At such concerts, "Floyd" has already built their representations as cycles of songs from two albums, named respectively "The Man" and "The Journey". The first of them was to show one day in the life of a typical Briton. It began with a morning episode, then work, with tea breaks (the scene described by Renwick), then culmination: dusk is the time that residents of the marshland of Cambridge call ummagumma.
