- The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot
Christmas comes but once a year for every girl and boy
The laughter and the joy they find in each new toy
I'll tell you of a little boy who lives across the way
This little fella's Christmas is just another day
He's the little boy that Santa Claus forgot
And goodness knows, he didn't want a lot
He sent a note to Santa
- A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square
when two lovers meet in Mayfair
-- so the legends tell --
songbirds sing
winter turns to spring
every winding street in Mayfair
falls beneath the spell
i know such enchantment can be
'cause it happened one evening
- Forget Me Not
Forget me not today,
Though I am far away,
Just let my memory stay
Safe in your heart.
Parting brings sorrow,
Hope for tomorrow.
Sweetheart, what e'er betide,
- Give me a kiss to build a dream on
Give me a kiss to build a dream on,
And my imagination will thrive upon that kiss.
Sweetheart, I ask no more than this:
A kiss to build a dream on.
Give me a kiss before you leave me,
And my imagination will feed my hungry heart.
Leave me one thing before we part,
A kiss to build a dream on.
- I Left My Heart At The Stage Door Canteen
I left my heart at the Stage Door Canteen
I left it there with a girl named Eileen
I kept her serving doughnuts
Till all she had were gone
I sat there dunking doughnuts
Till she caught on
- It Hurts To Say Goodbye
Take me in your arms and hold me tight,
tell me that your love is mine tonight,
say that everything will turn up right,
it hurts to say goodbye.
Let me know the thrill of your embrace,
memories that time can not erase,
why'd I kiss the teardrops from your face,
- Jealousy
Jealousy!
'Twas only through Jealousy!
Our hearts were broken, and angry words were spoken,
Now all I have is memory, to cherish so tenderly,
With ev'ry token, you have given to me.
I love too well, for I doubted you in my heart,
My life was hell, ev'ry moment we were apart.
Why did I make, that big mistake?
- Lili Marlene
Underneath the lantern, by the barrack gate
Darling I remember the way you used to wait
T´was there that you whispered tenderly,
That you loved me, you´d always be,
My Lilli of the Lamplight,
My own Lilli Marlene
Time would come for roll call, time for us to part,
- My Son My Son
Yours 'til the stars lose their glory
Yours 'til the birds fail to sing
Yours to the end of our life's story
This pledge to you dear, I bring
Yours in the grey of December
Here or on far distant shores
- Over the Hill
You will find me waiting there
Over the hill
All your troubles you can share
Over the hill
and at times when things go wrong
If they make the road seem long
There's a smile and there's a song
Over the hill
- The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot
Christmas comes but once a year for every girl and boy
The laughter and the joy they find in each new toy
I'll tell you of a little boy who lives across the way
This little fella's Christmas is just another day

- The White Cliffs Of Dover
"(There'll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs of Dover" is a popular World War II song made famous by Vera Lynn with her 1942 recording - one of her best known recordings. Written in 1941 by Walter Kent, Nat Burton and Norman Wisdom, the song was also among the most popular Second World War tunes. It was written before America had joined World War II, to uplift the spirits of the Allies at a time when Nazi Germany had conquered much of Europe's area and was bombing Britain.
The song was written at a time when British and German aircraft had been fighting over the cliffs of Dover in the Battle of Britain: the song's lyrics looked toward a time when the war would be over and peace would rule over the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, Britain's de facto border with the European mainland.
- There'll Always Be An England
I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen.
I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen.
May this fair dear land we love so well
In dignity and freedom dwell.
Though worlds may change and go awry
While there is still one voice to cry
There'll always be an England
- We'll Meet Again
We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away
- Well meet again
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when,
But I know we'll meet again, some sunny day.
Keep smiling through, just like you always do,
'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.
So will you please say hello to the folks that I know,
Tell them I won't be long.
They'll be happy to know that as you saw me go,
- When The Lights Go On Again
When the lights go on again all over the world
And the boys are home again all over the world
And rain or snow is all that may fall from the skies above
A kiss won't mean "goodbye" but "Hello to love"
When the lights go on again all over the world
And the ships will sail again all over the world
Then we'll have time for things like wedding rings and free hearts will sing
- Wishing
Wishing will make it so
Just keep on wishing and care will go
Dreamers tell us dreams come true
It's no mistake
Wishes are the dreams we dream
When we're awake
The curtain of night will part
If you are certain within your heart
- Yours
Yours till the stars lose their glory
Yours till the birds fail to sing
Yours to the end of life's story
This pledge to you dear
I bring
Yours in the grey of December
Here on unfar distant shores
I've never loved anyone
