Guarding The InvitationsJulia Kent is a New York City-based[1], Vancouver, British Columbia born cellist[2][3] who is best known as a member of the all-cello group Rasputina,[1] and later as a member of Antony and the Johnsons.[1] [3]She studied cello at Indiana University.[3]
In 2007, she released her first solo album of looped cello music, Delay.[1] An EP, Last Day in July, appeared in 2010, and a second full-length record, Green and Grey, in 2011.[4]
In 2012, she takes part in the project Parallel 41 with Barbara De Dominicis and Davide Lonardi.
Her song, "Dorval," was featured in the Radiolab episode, "The Good Show."
