- Drawn to the Earth
Spoken so softly, were the tones of the tongue.
Now lost in a world In which I'll never hear.
Taken from me, and drawn to the Earth,
A god left bereft, and still mourning for this...
The cacophony of life,
The remains of all who weep.
See the ashes of a child,
Spread amongst the sullen streets...
- Dream the Day Away
Away, away from here
Beyond the reaches of the dying sun
A final wish remains unanswered
And countless fingers cling to reason.
I’m still unsure of where I’ve landed
After my great fall
Through the mist I read your eyes
They can’t conceal the hatred inside.
- Everything and Nothing At All
Peel back the skin
And reveal what we already know
A parasite, feeding on the helpless
With tendencies to maim and kill its host
I've seen your well-concealed dark side
I've known it for all this time
That without a plan or some purpose
- Fragments
Memories of another time,
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders.
Though distant, I can still hear their voices,
Begging me to avenge their pain.
Silence, a welcome sound at this moment,
I'd rather be anywhere but here.
The fragments of a life in upheaval,
Remained untouched for all who care to see.
- Silent Cry
A silent cry visits the heavens
You crack a smile as it fades to infinity
Unheard by all, my fate secured
I fall to my knees and cover my face
With tears in my eyes I peer through my fingers
An empty call to save my soul.
The choices before me, a tempting lot indeed
- The Essence of Motion
I see the leaves are changing
From a brilliant green to a multitude of colors
Autumn arrives, and they die.
The Earth, the customary place for their decay.
The same song for centuries
It’s verses glide through time.
- The Fate of Angels
Describe your day,
As one in which,
You washed the hurt and pain away.
A cleansing day,
To ride the wave of hope, to lay,
In lakes of tears,
That burn your fears...
The ruined heaven,
- The Great Fall
...and then the sky cried "Let it rain",
I cup my hands to drink in vein.
For once grey skies cry "Let it rain",
I'm suffering endlessly...
Drift away on handspun garments,
Fly beneath the sky that crashes down.
Search the land, search the oceans,
There you'll find, you'll find your heaven...
- The Opposite of Up
It's four o'clock again
I haven't slept in who knows when
The static from the radio breaks the silence
Looking through the windowpane
Trying to count the drops of rain
Am I going crazy?
Oh won't you tell me?
Judging from the looks of you
- The Purest Form
Piercing frequencies strike hard the tranquil heart.
The gold of hope, drifting so far apart.
Beyond my reach, ripping so terribly.
Into the skin, the flesh of humanity.
Tear at the wounds, uncover the nakedness.
Bitter and cold, the pain that will never rest.
Within me, watching it as it grows.
Within you, seeing it all unfold...
- This Sinking Feeling
Come to me, tell me what you see
Honesty is all I need
The candles are melting, the clock ticks away
My future looks cloudy, there's no reason to stay
I'm on my way' but my hands are tied
I'll try and try some more, until I'm free
Know what to do, but the chosen few
Stand in the way, they'll never leave
- Tomorrow's in Doubt
For too long, I lay silently contemplating
"Stay your tongue" is what I'm told
Time and time again...
I grow tired, and wait for sleep that never comes
Left to drown in muddied seas
It's been this way for ages now.
Endless nights bring heavy eyes, I know
- Walk This Bloody Path
Lay here with me,
Ravaged by despair.
Cover me with eloquence,
and splendor that you bear.
The Warrior Poets have wept for me...
Soiled with slaughter,
I have become endowed with grief.
Beneath the ground on which I lay...
