Теперь я в сердце верю: любовь мой обет
И путь к добродетели разрушит мой бред
Увидела таксиста вновь, где нагрубила ему

Oh, to be up there, where the cranes soar in the hour of dawn!
But instead of wings, I bear the heavy weight of sin that drags us down once more.
And envy consumes me from within—like fire, like a seductive serpent.
I loathe those who stand above me, and in that hatred, I find only emptiness.
Seven sins leave their mark upon my soul;
Pride, envy, lust—these are the chains that bind me.
Yet somewhere in the distance, a light begins to break through;
And perhaps, in the pursuit of goodness, I will find my answer.
I had an important meeting to attend, but sloth squandered the hour.
I lingered in bed—two hours, then more—but what held me captive there?
By three, I finally broke free and got ready; a taxi roared down below.
Rage choked me; I screamed at the driver: "Drive! Drive before I explode!"
It all ended in a bitter scene; I stormed out without paying,
My heart, consumed by greed, having destroyed every shred of kindness within me.
I found myself amidst a circle of "swine"—money, filth, and deceit.
They gorge, they drink, they shout: "Who has the most? Give *him* another glass!" Seven sins within my soul leave a lasting trace—
Gluttony, greed, and wrath: such is their dark embrace.
Yet somewhere in the distance, a light begins to break through;
And perhaps, in goodness, I shall find my answer true.
Then suddenly, one of those "swine" reached out to grasp my breast;
Lust flared within their eyes; they swarmed me, giving me no rest.
In an instant, I forgot all else; I screamed amidst the fire—
But they cast me aside like an object, stripped of money and desire.
I walked home alone, and a voice within my head
Kept whispering, over and over: "Where has all this led?
To loss, to pain—to suffering once again."
But now I could be truly myself, for I had grasped this truth:
That the seven sins were burning up my life, like a fiery, bottomless abyss.
Seven sins within my soul leave a lasting trace—
But meekness and humility have granted me their grace.
Now I trust my heart: love is my sacred vow;
And the path of virtue will dispel my madness now.
I saw the taxi driver again—the one I’d treated ill.
He asked: "What has come over you? You seem so gentle now."
I offered my apologies and paid him fully for his toil—
And gave him even more than he expected; a new soul had been born.
His words touched me deeply: "Darkness is depraved, but light is life;
If you choose the light, you’ll follow your true dream."
And in the morning, I returned home alone, yet filled with a light, pure grace;
Now I know: my life is taking a completely different course.
The seven sins within my soul exist no more;
Humility and meekness—this is the covenant I swore.
Now I remember that the light saves us all;
And virtue is the path to goodness, answering its call.
I leave the seven sins behind, in the past where they belong;
Seven virtues shine brightly now, teaching us to love.
The light within me burns more fiercely than my former vice;
Now I shall be the one who shines—no longer hiding in the night.
