И символов, но тебе, Наропа,
Искреннему и преданному, передам это.
Пустота не нуждается в опоре,
Махамудра покоится на Ничто.
Не совершая никаких усилий,
Но оставаясь раскованным и естественным,
Можно разорвать оковы
И так достичь Освобождения.
Если видишь Ничто, глядя в пространство,
Если умом наблюдаешь ум,
Устраняются различия
И достигаешь состояния Будды.
Облака, плывущие по небу,
Не имеют ни корней, ни дома.
Не имеют их и мысли, проплывающие в уме.
Как только наступает видение подлинной природы ума,
Двойственное восприятие прекращается.
В Пространстве возникают формы и цвета,
Но ни черным, ни белым оно не окрашено.
Из изначальной природы ума появляются все вещи, но ум
Не запятнан ни добродетелями, ни пороками.
Тьма веков не способна затмить
Сияющего света солнца; долгие кальпы
Сансары никогда не смогут скрыть
Лучезарного света Ума.
Хотя для объяснения Пустоты используются слова,
Пустота, как таковая, не может быть выражена.
Хотя мы говорим "ум — это Ясный Свет",
Он вне всяких символов и слов.
Хотя по сути своей ум пустотен,
Он охватывает и содержит в себе все.
Ничего не делай с телом, лишь расслабься,
Плотно сомкни уста и оставайся безмолвным,
Устрани из ума все мысли, ни о чем не думай.
Подобно полому бамбуку
Пусть расслабится тело.
Ничего "не отдавая" и "ничего" не "принимая",
Останови свой ум.
Махамудра подобна уму, ни за что не цепляющемуся.
Выполняя эту практику, со временем достигнешь состояния Будды.
Практика Мантры и Парамиты,
Объяснения Сутр и Предписаний,
Учения различных школ и писаний
Не приведут
К постижению Изначальной Истины.
Ибо если ум, охваченный желанием,
Стремится к цели, он только затмевает Свет.
Тот, кто исполняет Тантрические Заповеди,
Но при этом продолжает разделять, тот предает
Сам дух Самайи.
Прекрати любую активность, отбрось
Все желания, пусть мысли вздымаются и падают, исчезая
Подобно волнам океана.
Тот, кто никогда ни за что не цепляется,
Не нарушает Принципы Неразличения,
Тот верен Заповедям Тантры.
Тот, кто отбросил любые желания,
Не стремится ни к тому, ни к этому,
Тот постигает истинное значение
Священных Писаний.
В Махамудре сжигаются все грехи,
В Махамудре обретаешь Освобождение
От оков этого мира.
Это высочайший светоч Дхармы,
И те, кто не верит этому, — глупцы,
Вечно барахтающиеся
В трясине печали и страданий.
Стремясь к Освобождению,
Доверься Гуру.
Если твой ум получает его благословение —
До Освобождения уже недалеко.
Увы, все в этом мире бессмысленно,
Все — лишь семена печали.
Неглубокие учения порождают только действия;
Следуй лишь великим учениям.
Выйти за рамки двойственности —
Вот Царственный Путь;
Преодолеть рассеянность —
Вот Высшая Практика;
Путь Не-деяния —
Вот Путь всех Будд;
Тот, кто следует по этому Пути,
Достигает состояния Будды.
Мир этот преходящ и бренен,
Подобно иллюзиям и снам,
Он лишен всякой субстанции.
Отрекись от него, оставь своих близких,
Разруби все путы похоти и ненависти
И медитируй в лесах и в горах.
Если без всякого усилия сможешь
Пребывать в "естественном состоянии",
Вскоре придешь к Махамудре
И достигнешь Не-достижимого.
Разруби корни дерева —
И листья увянут;
Отсеки корни ума —
И Самсара падет.
Свет любой лампы
В мгновенье рассеет
Тьму долгих кальп;
Ясный Свет ума
В одно мгновенье уничтожит
Пелену неведения.
Тот, кто цепляется за ум, не видит
Ту Истину, которая находится за пределами ума.
Тот, кто устремлен к практике Дхармы,
Не обнаружит Истину, которая находится за пределами практики.
Чтобы познать то, что за пределами практики и ума,
Необходимо отсечь корни ума
И остаться "нагим". Лишь так можно уйти
От всякой двойственности и обрести покой. Mahamudra is beyond words
And characters, but you, Naropa,
Sincere and loyal, I will convey this.
Emptiness does not need support
Mahamudra rests on Nothing.
Making no effort
But remaining relaxed and natural,
Can break the shackles
And so achieve liberation.
If you see Nothing, looking into space,
If you observe the mind with the mind,
Eliminating differences
And you reach the state of Buddha.
Clouds floating across the sky
Have neither roots nor home.
Nor are thoughts floating in the mind.
As soon as the vision of the true nature of the mind comes,
Dual perception ceases.
In the space there are forms and colors,
But neither black nor white, it is not painted.
From the primordial nature of the mind all things arise, but the mind
Not tainted by virtues or vices.
The darkness of the ages cannot eclipse
The shining light of the sun; long kalpa
Sansaras can never hide
The radiant light of the Mind.
Although words are used to explain the Void,
Emptiness, as such, cannot be expressed.
Although we say "the mind is the Clear Light",
He is beyond any symbols and words.
Although in essence the mind is hollow
It embraces and contains everything.
Do nothing with the body, just relax,
Close your mouth tight and remain silent,
Remove all thoughts from your mind, do not think about anything.
Like a hollow bamboo
Let the body relax.
Nothing "giving away" and "not" accepting ",
Stop your mind.
Mahamudra is like a mind not clinging to anything.
Doing this practice will eventually bring you to the state of Buddha.
Practice Mantra and Paramita,
Explanations of Sutras and Prescriptions,
Teachings of various schools and writings
Will not lead
To the comprehension of the Primordial Truth.
For if the mind that is seized with desire,
Striving for a goal, it only eclipses the Light.
He who fulfills the Tantric Commandments,
But at the same time he continues to divide, he betrays
The very spirit of Samaya.
Stop any activity, discard
All desires, let thoughts rise and fall, disappearing
Like the waves of the ocean.
One who never clings for anything
Does not violate the Principles of Non-Identification,
He is faithful to the commandments of Tantra.
He who has discarded any desires
Not seeking to, nor to this,
That comprehends the true meaning
Scriptures.
All sins are burned in Mahamudra,
In Mahamudra you gain Liberation
From the shackles of this world.
This is the highest light of the Dharma,
And those who do not believe this are fools
Forever floundering
In the mire of sorrow and suffering.
Striving for Liberation,
Trust the Guru.
If your mind gets its blessing -
Before the Liberation is not far.
Alas, everything in this world is meaningless
All - only the seeds of sorrow.
Shallow teachings produce action only;
Follow only the great teachings.
Go beyond duality -
Here is the Royal Way;
Overcome distraction -
Here is the Highest Practice;
The path of non-action -
This is the Path of all Buddhas;
He who follows this Path
Reaches the state of Buddha.
This world is transient and frail,
Like illusions and dreams,
He is deprived of any substance.
Renounce him, leave your loved ones
Cut all the fetters of lust and hatred
And meditate in the forests and mountains.
If without any effort you can
To be in the "natural state"
Soon you will come to Mahamudra
And you will reach the Non-attainable.
Cut down the roots of a tree -
And the leaves will fade;
Compartments root of the mind -
And Samsara will fall.
Light of any lamp
In a moment dissipate
The darkness of long kalp;
Clear Light of Mind
In an instant destroy
The veil of ignorance.
One who clings to the mind does not see
That Truth that is beyond the mind.
One who is committed to the practice of Dharma,
Will not discover the Truth that is outside of practice.
To know that which is beyond practice and mind,
It is necessary to cut off the roots of the mind
And stay "naked." This is the only way to leave.
From all duality and find peace.
